Step 1

If you would like to change the trace settings of X-Y Plot, the first thing you need to do is to double click on a plot or choose Graph / XY Plot from the Format menu, to open a tabbed dialog box.

Next, it will display the Formatting Currently Selected X-Y Plot dialog box and you need to click Traces tab. The characteristics assigned to that trace appear in the six text boxes under the corresponding columns. There are Legend Label, Symbol, Line, Color, Type and Weight. When you have finished the settings click the Ok button. You can also click the Apply button to apply the settings.
